Streeter should not have a job tomorrow.

Nov 26, 2022, 5:17 PM

Why did Dabo ever think it was a good idea to let an unproven o coordinator coach at Clemson.

He didn't have a resume that qualified him for the job. No company would hire someone to that kind of money with a resume like his

Pathetic

What gets to me the most of all the interviews since the game, is Dabo saying that the way DJ was playing was a long way away from being the reason that we lost, and that is just not true IMO. The QB is the leader of the team, and when the other players knows that their QB can't help them to win games, they lose their faith in the team that they signed up to play for, and they're just not into it, and they get tired really quick of it being the same in every game!!!

what we saw today. When DJ is on, the offense hums. When he's not, it's bad. Real bad. You can't fix the issue we saw today with playcalls.

Coaching starts before game day and this was a poorly coached team.

Execution is a reflection of coaching.

position to win. It was a lack of execution from the most critical position on the field that cost the game. Every other group on the field did enough to win.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Whatever….

Nov 26, 2022, 7:13 PM

This team was not prepared and has not been prepared all season. It came down to one play in OT or we lose to Wake. We gave up 384 yards to freaking Furman and Notre Dame blew us off the field.

This is beyond just poor QB play. This game prep and player development at all positions.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, pffft, poorly coached and no development teams

Totally on the mark. Either they are admitting they cant recruit, or if they can, then they cant develope, or if they can, they cant coach. What I See and saw is a QB with potential but having trouble reaching it…WR with athletics but terrible skillsets(no leap, bad hands, no separation) and very predictable play calling and no ability to gameplan or even take advantage of anything an opponent gives us during a game

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bullcrap.

Nov 26, 2022, 6:21 PM [ in reply to the good ones scheme WRs open....... ]

Same as all year, we had open receivers. Not being able to see them or get it to them accurately when he does, that's the obvious root cause. The adaption was going to focus on short, higher probability throws. Regardless, DJ made poor throws to open guys today. Short of trying the next guy, there is no adapting to fix that.

The offense put players in positions to win. Connecting on 27.6% has no playcalling fix.

Streeter isn't responsible for recruiting these players? He was recruiting coordinator up until 2 years ago. I don't think that recruiting was the problem then, but he is largely responsible for the recruitment of most of these players.

Qb 1 is not a read option qb, but our staff keeps forcing read option.

Good coaches adapt scheme to the players strengths and abilities. We are doing the opposite.

Square peg doesn't fit round hole. Poor evaluation, coaching, and scheme.

Another thing to consider is that Dabo is the one calling most of the the plays a majority of the time. If he left Streeter alone, I truly think he’s pretty capable of calling a good offense. But DS insists on getting in the way and it’s MORE than obvious unfortunately.

Both coordinators need to go tomorrow. DJ needs to be shown the door. This was embarrassing on a new level. There is no excusing this away…this is a business, you are being paid a lot of money Dabo and this is what happens when you hire your unproven friends. Lose your ego, fire them and send a message to college football and kore importantly recruits that this mediocrity is not acceptable at Clemson. Winning the ACC means nothing, it’s a #### league that we used to absolutely dominate, we squeak our wins now. UNC is pass heavy too, but his was the third or fourth game we have given up 250 yards pkus passing, that is a lack of coaching and development. Dabo has been given the benefit of the soubt for two years and he has earned that, but enough is enough…

The landscape has changed drastically and we have not adapted…

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Streeter should not have a job tomorrow.

Nov 26, 2022, 5:35 PM

I love Dabo and appreciate what he has done for us, but if he doesn't make serious changes after this season, it is time to examine his tenure.

The lack of judgement he has shown the last two years is troubling to say the least.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So Taisun was the answer last year?

Nov 26, 2022, 7:16 PM

Are you joking?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Streeter should not have a job tomorrow.

Nov 26, 2022, 5:41 PM

Umm, maybe because Dabo was an unproven receivers coach (some say assistant head coach as well but still unproven) who got promoted to head coach and has done pretty well. The real trouble is that Clemson does not have the level of talent across the entire offense or really on defense we've come to expect. Star ratings are not always proof of future success no matter how well a player is coached.

To blame recruiting you're simply blaming the players. We have excellent players, we have at least 3 that will go 1st round.

DJ completed 28% of his passes for 99 yards. We've seen this movie before. You can't win at this level with a QB that can't throw the ball consistently. Last season he had the worst QBR in the ACC. This year will end up likely the same.

You can't keep your defense on the field and not expect them to get tired.

Dabo has said that his job is to "put our guys in the best position to win." He didn't do that today. DJ should have been pulled in the 3rd quarter. I'm baffled by this reluctance to adjust when a player is underperforming.
