I mean, not to really look at last year, but

Dec 11, 2015, 2:09 PM

Clemson with Stout was 34 points better...

I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

Yep, OU was horrible last year. New qb, more rb and wr talent, new oc, new rb coach, new wr coach and now they have a top 10 offense.

Last year 465 ypg, 36 ppg.. Includes 100 more pass yards per game since that was their weakness last year.

This year 543 ypg, 46ppg. Definitely better than last year..

On defense they have a new secondary coach. Last year secondary was ranked 117th giving up 272 ypg through the air and 20 touchdowns. 12 interceptions

This year secondary is #34 giving up 201 ypg through the air and 18 touchdowns with 19 int. And the big 12 offenses are better this year than they were last year so that's improvement. In fact they improved all the weak spots of the team from last year. Passing the ball on offense and defending it on defense. Cant wait to see this game.

Big 12 offenses with their starting QBs maybe.

In other news, all 126 teams lost and gained players

Dec 11, 2015, 2:17 PM [ in reply to Re: ...Stoops and Sooners said their team was "revamped".... ]

during the offseason. One of the biggest mass changes of personnel in the last 12 months, where almost a quarter of the players left college football and was replaced by much lesser trained new comers.

Last year I thought Stoops was done.

Dec 11, 2015, 2:24 PM

Seemed washed up and tired. Hiring Lincoln Riley seems to have saved him for now. We'll see how his fan base reacts to getting pancaked again by Clemson.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They'll have their third revamp by the end of the first half

Dec 11, 2015, 6:06 PM

They may have a few more before it's over.

It is going to take a lot of revamping to account for how much better we were last year.

Dec 11, 2015, 6:21 PM

Not to mention the fact that we are significantly better ourselves this year. OU is a very good team, ane I expect a competitive game, but I do not see them beating us.
