Sadly I agree. That said when we beat then #10 NCS we didn't move up over Michigan.
If my remembrance is correct Clemson is the only team in the top 5 to have beat two top 15 teams and yet still number 5.

Correct, and if they put us into the playoffs after what we've done to this point, they would get it wrong bc, we're not a playoff team, and we haven't played like a playoff team, and if we played in the playoffs next week, we would get embarrassed!!!!

2 of the sec finest gave up a total of 1200 yards in 1 game! I mean geez,... to say either one of them is ready is a far stretch.
Atleast when we fswhoo scored at the end it was garbage time.
Still ur right my friend. Nobody looks like they are a title winner now.
And please don't say Jawga because they practically played a team from the socon or swat!

To some degree I agree. But the top 4 were 6-0 and as usual played no one especially Alabama.
Clemson played two top 15 teams within the first 6 games and still only number 5.

Respect is earned, what did we do to earn any respect against FSU, a two loss team going into the game, and a 3 straight loss team at the end of the game. What did we do last night to earn national respect besides blowing a 20 point lead, what? FSU clearly looked like the best team in the entire 4th quarter!!!

That’s fine. We are getting top 5 respect and not getting TCU’d.
Look impressive next week and maybe we keep playing flip flop with Michigan.
None of it really matters right now. All that matters is being ready to rock at noon in the valley against an undefeated Cuse.

nothing more than a curiosity that wastes my time. Having said that it amazes me how much credence Michigan will get because they beat a "top 10" Penn State team.
I get it - Michigan is a blue blood and there are a whole lot of people who want them to be good. But.. the truth is Penn State is not, and never was, a top 10 team this year and has been mediocre at best for many years. Wake Forest is a much better team than Penn State but will rarely (if ever) get credit for being a top 10 team because of their past history.
Michigan continually gets a benefit of the doubt because back before Al Gore invented the Internet they used to be an elite program. Yet with the exception of last years game against Ohio State, Michigan has continually underwhelmed when facing true top 10 competition. This year, Michigan essentially plays a bunch of weak pulsed teams and one true top 10 team. Unfortunately we will have to listen to the Michigan hype all the way until the end of the season at which time I fully expect the Bucknuts to remind everyone that Michigan is not the Wolverines of ancient football lore...

Spot on. The BIG 10 is very weak this year. Everyone thought that auburn game was impressive. Well, we now see how unimpressive of a win it was.
Michigan has played perhaps the easiest schedule of any ranked team. At the end of the season, that's got to hurt them.

these polls are little more than a "curiosity," as another poster put it.
However, if these poll people left us this high, I feel good about our ranking from the committee.

The most damning mark against both of these polls is the South Carolina vote total having them at 27th and 28th. There is no way in this or any other universe an educated voter could ever mark them on his/her/he/she/it/they/them/Sasquatch ballot.

and we'll be sitting at number three. UM/OSU and UGA/TN games and we'll be one of three unbeaten teams. Bama will play the winner of the UGA/TN match which will either giving Bama second loss or one of them a first loss.
WE just have to win to be in. Nothing is changed and nothing will change except who else gets in the playoff.
