Still can’t believe we had to use a trick play

to score our 1st touchdown against UConn yesterday…….fake field goal with Will Sweeney running the ball in for the TD……happy we were able to score a TD but pretty much sums up how BAD our offense has been and still is this season……especially with us having to use this against probably the worse team in the nation to score a TD……geez Louise!

Right now, inventiveness might have to become a necessity...at least against Wake, but I don't care what it takes to win.

The sole purpose of the play was for Will Swinney to score. A trick play was the best means to accomplish the objective.

I agree…..but we had to use this against UConn to score…..if we we able to do this against Georgia to score a TD in that first game this would have been a great call and I would have loved it…..having to use it against mighty UConn just to be able to score a TD….not so much!

Throw in the fact that we had to go for it on 4th down 2 or 3 times before we got close enough to try a field goal.

Three times the on the first drive. The 4th failed third-down conversion led to the field goal where we were only losing to UConn 7-3.

Plus what was it 2 or 3 4th downs ?
We actually would have went 3 and out vs UCONN using scripted plays . That tells you how terrible the play calling really is .
DJ is bad but the coaches are making him worse .
