Now that this is back in the news, I have very specific questions for quozzel, Catahoula®, stubborn_tiger®, uktiger1, and josephg®
WHERE IS ONE PIECE OF HARD EVIDENCE regarding the Steele Dossier?
I want to know how and why you believe there is evidence for these claims (direct from the dossier):
TRUMP has declined various sweetener real estate business deals offered him in Russia in order to further the Kremlin’s cultivation of him. However he and his inner circle have accepted a regular flow of intelligence from the Kremlin, including on his Democratic and other political rivals.
Where is an email, text, s-mail, paper, fax, video, audio, etc. that shows
- Offered real estate deals or evidence of any communication regarding them?
- ANY EVIDENCE of ANY intelligence flow from the Kremlin?
According to Source D, where s/he had been present, TRUMP’S [REDACTED BY THE MOSCOW PROJECT] conduct in Moscow included hiring the presidential suite of the Ritz Carlton Hotel, where he knew President and Mrs OBAMA (whom he hated) had stayed on one of their official trips to Russia, and [REDACTED BY THE MOSCOW PROJECT]. The hotel was known to be under FSB control with microphones and concealed cameras in all the main rooms to record anything they wanted to.
So they have microphones and cameras? Where is the audio and video?
Agreed exchange of information established in both directions. TRUMP’s team using moles within DNC and hackers in the US as well as outside in Russia. PUTIN motivated by fear and hatred of Hillary CLINTON. Russians receiving intel from TRUMP’S team on Russian oligarchs and their families in US
TRUMP IS USING MOLES within the DNC?! Where is an email, text, s-mail, paper, fax, video, audio, personal claim, etc. that shows any evidence of it? It says Trump is transmitting intel to Russia regularly, YET THERE IS STILL ZERO EVIDENCE BEYOND THE DOSSIER – why?
Don’t over-think this – given the amount of time that has gone by, how can you believe any of this without evidence of any kind? The allegations are horrendous and would make any reporter millions of dollars if they even had one tiny piece of any of this – yet nothing but crickets…

The Steele Dossier was a complete hoax. COMPLETE. It is one of the biggest lies ever perpetuated in the history of man in terms of number of believers and affect.
If the Democrats did this, what else where they and are they capable of?

A cursory examination of the Steele Dossier should have convinced the CIA or the FBI that it was fake news. Any residual doubt would have vanished after learning that its author, Christopher Steele, was an opposition researcher paid by the Democrats to dig up dirt on Trump. That our most sophisticated government officials acted as if the Dossier were legitimate leads to only one conclusion. They were a knowing and willing part of the Democratic and media smear of a presidential contender, and then president, that paralyzed U.S. politics for three years.

Steele Dossier reads like a bad joke, but to try and call the Russian thing a deep-state flip the ###### psy-op is actually a worse joke.

Lordy, more of this. The Steele Dossier was mostly hearsay and innuendo, and so everything else was hearsay and innuendo too.
Good God you're repetitive. The real thrust of the assertions against Trump didn't have anything to do with Steele or the dossier. The reason he faced impeachment were accusations he and his campaign conspired with the Russians to influence a US election - which they assuredly did! - and also that he was compromised by some way by those same Russians...which he was and is, considering he owes them as much as a billion dollars in personally guaranteed loans that are due in the next four years.
Those things don't go away, and again, all that's a matter of public and historical record and this is how history will remember it. The dossier was a political football and was basically scurrilous innuendo. That does not make Trump categorically innocent of everything else...and he absolutely is not.

Well, there was the relentless flood of fake news through social media. Facebook alone has identified and dismantled at least 150 Russian disinformation networks that largely support Trump and his narrative.

Then there was the really illegal thing - Fancy Bear, aka APT28 - the hacker arm of the GRU - hacked the DNC servers and then passed the contents of that illegal hack - you know, the infamous Hillary Clinton/John Podesta dump - on to Roger Stone...who then passed it on to Julian Assange and WikiLeaks, who then dumped it on the American public two weeks before the election. Stone got 40 months for that...before his sentence was commuted by Trump.
He never rolled on Trump, of course...but then, Trump commuted him. Trump says he had no involvement. But there remains this minor factoid in the way...you know, actual video evidence to the contrary:

It's a mixed bag. Some aspects of it have been disputed or refuted and it does seem like aspects of it were either exaggerations or hearsay. The Mueller Report directly refuted one particular allegation against Michael Cohen.
The thrust that Russia was supporting Trump and trying to influence the election has been proven true. That is a matter of public record.
In any event, Crossfire Hurricane - the FBI's counter-intelligence investigation into Trump - predated the leak of the dossier anyway, and the dossier had nothing to do with their interest in Trump...though apparently they did investigate some of the specific allegations in that dossier.
Anybody who claims otherwise is just being revisionist. All of those facts are documented and publicly available, though, and it's just more MAGA spin to refute the reality that's in plain sight.
