the most difficult OOC schedule possible and make our path to the new playoff that much more difficult. I just don't get it.

I promise the SEC and Big 12 will be taking the easiest route possible too. You won't see many more tough OOC games for them.

Sometimes. There is the case of SC and Georgia where it has not done so much having LSU and Bama and Florida winning titles.

Because our conference schedule is so weak compared to the other conferences. Beefing up our OOC schedule will strengthen our SOS and could make it possible to get in the playoffs with one loss as opposed to absolutely having to go undefeated.
