True freshman starters on D this yr

Do yall think we will have any true freshmen starting on D week 1? If not, do you think any of them will have won a starting job by week 4? If so, will it be Mullen, Tre, Shaq, or Dex? I would think it would be Mullen or Tre.

Week 1 on the road in a really hostile environment.. coaches will go with the guys that have some experience.

I don't think there will be any on week 1 either, that's why I asked the follow up question about week 4 after the 2 cupcakes.

Chances are, there will be no freshman starters in game 1, or even game 12. Dex is a stud no doubt, and will get a lot of playing time but Watkins and Pagano are your likely starters at DT, Bryant and WIlkins likely starters at DE (unless WIlkins starts for Pagano and Ferrell (RSfrosh) or Yeargin starts instead. LB, probably Boulware and Joseph, CBs will be Tank and Fields, and safeties will be Jadar and Van Smtih or Wiggins. We have the luxury of not having to start freshmen from the git go. This is not to say that a couple won't overtake the starters at some point during the season.

For any of them to start they will have to overwhelmingly out play the older players. One, of the many, things that can be said about Swinney is that he is fair and knows the Jr's & Sr's have worked hard and deserve to start. With that being said it would not surprise me for out freshmen to get tons of experience.
