You can't make this up..a freaking tree!
Well, anyone listening years ago could have told them choosing a Tree for a mascot was a bad idea especially when you are called a "single" Cardinal.

I had a lot of respect for Stanford because of their academics and decent athletic department. However, over the past few months, this university have proven themselves to be a birthing place for all things not good.

Reading the article as I actually did, I would have thought you would have sided with the tree who was protesting the freedom (and fun) restricting tendencies of the administration.

How did you come away with that conclusion???They aren’t in uproar over the tree at all. Students are upset with some university policies...upset with the university itself. The person in the mascot costume is in agreement with the students.
Nothing in that article talks about students being in an uproar with the mascot.

and surprisingly the Normal & Woke students were all upset at administration, who have to be lefties.
Why just this week a Stanford group of Lefties declared that the word AMERICAN should not be used anymore b/c..
ask them since I would not be as accurate as them for sure.
