My coot neighbor came over to brag that the gamecocks won back to back bass fishing national championships...I didn't even know there was such a thing in college. I told him who cares we just had a parade because we won the natty in football. Smh

my second cousin won the bass masters tournament a couple of times, and he is as big a redneck as we have in our family. I love to fish too, but not for a living lol.

and yes its a real thing...my local high school here in KY actually has a bass fishing team. State titles are handed out also.

lakes anywhere, and has hosted the Bassmasters Classic and Forrest Woods championship. But bass fishing isn't an NCAA sanctioned sport, it's a club sport like rugby and lacrosse are at Clemson.

Wonder how much revenue bass fishing national championship brings USUC as compared to how much a football Championship brings us? I bet they would trade 20,000 bass fishing championships for a football championship. I have always tried to show coots some grace, but ever since our title win, they have been incredibly stupid. Act more like 3 year olds than adults.

I would have told him if they were that good at fishing, that they should have come down and put on a fish fry for Clemson Nation. And that for once in their life they could have been part of something special while being welcomed to a FB National Championship celebration. Tell him that they did miss their only opportunity to be a part of something that big in South Carolina!!!
