Special Teams Were Horrific Again

Whoever coaches the tiger special teams needs to go ASAP. Ditto for the secondary coach. The two safeties played a horrible game. you can't allow 4 td's over 50 yards and expect to win, Great season, lots of good for the future but without better ST and Secondary play we are going nowhere.

TD return was habitual this year. Against Bama it was a killer.

Fabio will not fire a coach from a 14-1 team. Pear an does suck though.

Look no further than Danny Pearman. Supposedly it's a group of coaches helping in special teams. He holds the title of ST coach, and he failed....miserably in the 4th quarter.
Get a guy in who can at least not lose us a game with our coverage and alignments. Someone who can help develop a return game. If this isn't the wake up call for Dabo, then I don't what is.

I realize we are all disappointed and you are right that we need to improve on special teams and deep coverage, but I cannot understand how you would say we are "going nowhere."
The Tigers just played in National Championship, almost won it, and have more wins this season than any previous Clemson team. Perspective please.

Perspective? Clemson just gave away a game they should have won. They are a better team than Alabama and because of special teams and a pathetic effort by the secondary they let Alabama win. There is your perspective

Welp, Coach V oversees the defense. So maybe you should email him your sentiments. Along with all the players, who's email is freely available on the Clemson.edu website. I'm sure you're coaching will be much better than what they have received from the paid administrators there are on staff.

You don't just hire a new coach and fix it. It has to be emphasized from the top.
Urban Meyer personally oversees special teams and has some starters playing there, because he feels they are that important.
It's not a coordinator fix, it's a mentality fix.
