I wonder if y'all would have kept recruiting him if breeland had already declared. Y'all were in the drivers seat. I think everyone sees him as a safety but we have nothing to lose letting him try corner because we need corners badly. Plus, we have used safeties as nickel corners in the past. Just curious when yalls coaches found out about breeland and whether that would have influenced them to give dj a shot at cb.

The coaches had an idea about Breeland before he declared. Sure it is a surprise to all of us and the coaches were hoping he would change his mind but it wasn't a huge surprise to them. The numbers at DB from last years class are the reason we didn't pursue him.

because they're having to settle for players Clemson clearly stopped recruiting.
Clemson was in the drivers seat with this kid and he would have likely committed and signed with Clemson had we continued to recruit him.
The good news for you is that with his addition, maybe your national recruiting ranking will finally rise above 30th and ahead of recruiting juggernauts like Boston College, South Florida, and Indiana.

Lol, just like y'all stopped recruiting DJ Swearringer, DeVonte Holloman, Stephon Gilmore, etc. and all those other guys we had that made it to the big league. They just weren't good enough for CU.

Funny how the past 7 or so years y'all seem to be winning more in February yet we are winning more in November. But I'm cool with it.
