Sounds like Kirby knowingly played COVID positive players...

Sep 6, 2021, 9:43 PM

You're telling me he just learned about this today?! Not buying it.

Something is rotten in Athens.

Dabo need to complain publicly....don't care if he's called a sore loser.

Should a few Clemson players test positive this week, it’s enough to make you wonder. It would be unethical to knowingly let infected players travel let alone play.

It may take up to 14 days for symptoms to show. I don't know if it means one can test positive earlier.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Situation definitely sounds murky

Sep 7, 2021, 1:04 PM [ in reply to Re: Sounds like Kirby knowingly played COVID positive players... ]

But Dabo can't publicly call him out on it. Reading the subtext, it does not sound like he's happy about it.

All that being said, there has been no evidence of on-field transmission of the virus to an opposing team that I am aware of so likely a non-issue in terms of an outbreak at Clemson stemming from this.

Knowingly put our whole team at risk. No way they tested players on Sunday of Labor Day weekend, or Labor Day. He knew he had players testing positive and let em play. We sat starting noseguard and center.

No, Dabo doesn't but the media (who won't) should launch an investigation as to why the players around the trainer weren't held out of the game vaccinated or not. They should have been isolated. If the media cracked the door, then Dabo could voice his opinion and concern over our players.

It's far worse than last year. Last Sept the media would have been hysterical.

Let’s move on. We got beat and honestly, I think we will end up better off than if we had won 10-3. You learn a lot more by losing than you do by winning. We have problems that need immediate attention. If we had won, those issues could have been rationalized away with “we won.”

If it comes out that he in fact did, the whole season for everybody is in jeopardy.

Typical UGA crap under every HC except for Mark Richt. If Smart knowing played Covid tested players he as the HC should be suspended for the rest of the , the win should be vacated and they should receive a hefty fine. Along with other penalties depending on how bad it gets for the player’s. You don’t put your kids in life in jeopardy.

And your team does not magically get covid after a couple of days they would have tested positive Saturday.

UGA is a dirty program and karma will catch up with them.

Prayers for their players and other coaches.

No. If all Clemson players were vaxed, then there would be no exposure/infection danger for us. It's our issue.

So Kirby won playing guys he knew to be infected with covid, just not yet showing symptoms, or in your terms not yet "sick." That's the theory?

Clemson player, Brannon Spector, tested positive four days before the game. Whose to say that others on the team weren't exposed when he was ..?

Re: Sounds like Kirby knowingly played COVID positive players...

Sep 7, 2021, 10:26 AM

My concern is that Kirby Smart knowingly played sick players( if he did and it surely smells like it) and put our players’ health at risk, not the win or loss. Covid can be very simple or it can be deadly. My opinion is Smart would do it in a heartbeat because he is definitely on the hot seat.

Re: Sounds like Kirby knowingly played COVID positive players...

Sep 7, 2021, 10:47 AM

We have covid on our team now as was announced last week.

UGA has covid on their team now.

Maybe Kirby played players this weekend.

Maybe Dabo played players this weekend.

We will never know.

If a player is sick on either team, they wouldn't contribute 100%, in most cases. So, why play them?

More will probably be announced throughout the year as this covid strain is very contagious.

So, let's stop looking for excuses or reasons to complain.

Just get better.

Re: Sounds like Kirby knowingly played COVID positive players...

Sep 7, 2021, 12:58 PM

Dabo obviously did not play infected players. If UGA did, then they should be called out on it. I know they won't be, but maybe karma will step in!

I'd laugh my ### off if they had to forfeit a game

Sep 7, 2021, 1:07 PM

But the fact would remain that they got the W against us. I would love to see them go 1-11, even if the one win is against us and the 11 losses hurt our CFP chances. I HATE Georgia.

Before the game Saturday, I asked everyone in the room if they had a choice between beating UGA and making the playoffs (i.e. can't do both, however unrealistic that is) this year, which they would choose, all of the ones under 50 chose the playoffs. Those of us over 50 took the UGA win. I hope those youngsters get their way.

You know you hate a team when they cause you to root against your own interests.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Same way they handle suspensions LOL

Sep 7, 2021, 2:04 PM

I'd only be worried as to how that would effect Clemson. Hopefully they were TESTED Positives and not with symptoms ,
