boards and get their insights into a game. In this case, the GT Swarm bored had some interesting comments on our QB "situation"......take these with a grade of slaw:
-"If Clemson played their freshman QB they would have won by 50......"
-"No way their starting QB is a top 20 player. Not even close"
-"Their freshman QB looked scary good"
-"Thank God Dabo didn't start the freshman QB"
-"the freshman QB will be starting by mid season"
-"felt game was close until 4th quarter but if Dabo had started freshman qb it would have been a blowout by halftime anyway"
-"Clemson is supposed to have the best offensive line in their history but we still got pressure on the QB because he can't read a defense"
-"Clemson has a QB controversy, and they should have one. I don’t think DJ Uiagalelei realizes how bad that 4th quarter drive looked for him. Klubnik looks much better. Dabo screwed up starting Uiagalelei."
-"We were fortunate Dabo didn't start the freshman, he's trying to make their qb into something he's not"
Again, these are GT bored comments. Take it for what it is.

No, he is saying that the GT fans don't look at Clemson through Rose colored glasses like many of us do. We are much more likely to hear unbiased reporting from someplace other than a Clemson site (ESPN excluded).

Whether we like it or not, there is a national media narrative building that we have a budding "QB controversy". Some of the comments made on last night's TV broadcast by Luginbill are adding fuel to the fire. It is what it is.

Does GT know how much their team improved from last season? Do they know this is going to be their year to turn the corner and be respected by ACC foes? Do they know that next year they will be Clemson's #1 competition in the ACC?
I do. Their defense looked great wrestling around our Oline and creating havoc in our backfield. They just didn't have quality backup because those guys aren't developed yet. Another year and this coach will have a top 15 defense.
Does the GT fanbase recognize that their secondary fights to the death for a passed football?

I'm not either, but I thought he did an excellent job in this game. I really think we were out-coached in the first half. Their was nothing wrong with their game plan both on offense or defense ...... just not enough horses.

He didn't do himself any favors before halftime last night by letting the clock run out. His excuse for doing so by telling the ESPN reporter he was afraid that if he called a timeout we'd go for it on 4th and 3 from our own 43 yard line made it even worse.

Cade may not be ready to start right away, but the switch should come soon.
If we are in a tight, low scoring game against an inferior opponent in the future, Dabo will have to pull DJ. Simple as that.
After an entire off-season, DJ played slightly better than last year. We need far more than that.
