Someone please explain to me why I would help the

Atlantic Coast Conference take advantage of Clemson's success to line the conference's pockets with money based on my not being able to see Clemson play football unless I do in fact help the ACC make more money though one of these conference network channels. It seems to me that everything I'm seeing on the SEC network, Longhorn Network, Big10 Network is content that I can easily find on Youtube at my convenience, other than the live football games that they choose to carry only on said networks. So, the leg they have to stand on in order to get this money is live football and Clemson football and its fans, which I already have been able to see through normal channels, but now we're being asked by the ACC to join them to tell the cable companies to charge us more for content that we already get normally but now will be on this special network that will otherwise carry UNC basketball and lacrosse non stop. Instead, why not call the ACC office and ask why don't they leave the football games alone and put their precious basketball solely on the ACC network instead of holding clemson football and its fans hostage and making them do their dirty work.

Get over yourself. It's the ACC Network, not the Clemson Tiger Network. Don't subscribe then, nobody's twisting your arm to princess..

If you are serious about helping Clemson, join IPTAY, but seasons tickets, attend the games etc.

This again?

The ACC is a revenue sharing conference. That means:

More money for the ACC = more money for Clemson

Conference networks by and large (sorry Pac12) have been financial windfalls.

If you currently possess a television package with the likes of ESPNU and the SEC Network then it is highly likely that your cost will not change at all when your carrier picks up the network. If you have Spectrum they have already announced that the addition of the ACC Network to their Select TV package will not change their pricing model at all.

You're concerned about an issue that doesn't exist.

FWIW: Directv told me that the additional channel for the ACCN is an additional $13.99/month.

AT&T hasn't publicly officially announced tiering or pricing structure for inclusion of ACC Network on DirecTV yet. My guess is with Spectrum announcing its pricing/tiering structure will not change that Comcast (and possibly Cox if they pick it up) will do the same and AT&T will follow that lead. I'd hold off committing to that for as long as possible. You can use a YouTubeTV free preview week to watch the Clemson-GT game and then we wouldn't be at risk of playing on the ACCN again until the Charlotte game, at which point pricing structures will be more clear. It's hard to believe AT&T charging HBO prices for the ACC Network is going to end up a sound business strategy with the other options that will start presenting themselves.

But it also said it was voluntary.... you can do whatever you want. It will only feel like an eternity.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

Actually if you are going to have a TV service , and you are a supporter of Clemson Athletics , and you can choose a provider that has the ACC network for the same or much less than one that doesn’t, and Clemson benefits from that choice , why the heck would you do anything else? It just doesn’t make sense.
