Some mind boggling rushing stats vs SCar

Nov 25, 2012, 8:46 PM

When we ran the ball we had success overall, Ellington had 15 carries and averaged about 5 yards per attempt. Rod McDowell had 3 carries which averaged 16 ypc. No SCar back averaged more than 3 yards per carry! And the biggest kicker to me is, Boyd had 17 rushes, more than anyone in the game, averaging 1.5 yards a carry. Why not feed the backs the ball? Ellington wanted it, instead we try to hit the long developing big play. It cost us the game...we should of ran up the gut like LSU and uf did...mix it up inside/outside/screen...then hit the big play! Baffling...

Morris thought we had the 49ers offensive line and Tajh had all the time in the world to throw.

Repeat of last year

Ellington was having a nice game last year until we got behind. Chad this year and last panics when we are behind and tries to get it back quick. You have to remember who you are playing,be patient and do what is working.

I agree but

we lost this game by letting them convert eleven 3rd downs. PERIOD! Clowney didn't do major damage until we were put in situations where we had to drop back and pass and it was clear that this is what we were doing. The guy is too good to let him pin his ears back and come after it. You beat Carolina by being balanced and running the ball right at them. We just didn't have the D to help us out. Our rush D was much better this year and improved but we need more depth and talent up front and a lot of talent in the secondary. We do this and we're in business. I wish Shaw had played b/c he is not a great passer. Their backup is a great passer and we have no secondary. We just need to recruit to our needs and we'll be fine. As bad as this sucks this will flip and we'll be back on top. Stay the course!

Successful? This and why didn't utilize Sammy or Bryant or ford more are the questions that I hope get answered over this week.

Let's just say it

The Chad didn't bring it last night, for whatever reason. He needs to be accountable for this. He can't rest on what happened "yesterday". And I'm sure he will answer the challenge.
