Does it really matter what Streeters offense was at Richmond?

Dec 10, 2021, 7:44 PM

*This isn't a pro or anti Streeter for OC post*

The game of football, especially on offense, has really changed since then. Just like TE's offense, it went from Bama having no answer for it in 2018 to being archaic in 2021. The good news is he gained experience of being an OC, but even if he had the #1 ranked offense back then.... it does not matter now if he has failed to innovate and change with the game. Then we are replacing 1 archaic offense for another. The bowl game will tell us a lot.

So you expect a new offense in 3 weeks?***

I'm not expecting him to change Clemsons offense

Only improve upon it. I know he can't make wholesale improvements in 3 weeks, but he can show signs.

Some improvement shoulkd come naturally

OL starting the same 5 that lead to the Wake and SCU wins. Getting Ngata and Williams back. DJ healthier. Streeter will have some wrinkles, but it's still the same deck of cards.

For next year, everything hinges on QB. That gets fixed, we're absolutely fine. And Street will have two options so he's already well ahead of this year

If DJ is the starter, he's gonna have to do a whole lot more than get healthy or we'll drop a couple more games to inferior programs with drastically inferior talent. Passing a physical is the least of his problems.

We lost 0 games to teams that had inferior talent this year.

Wrong, every team we've faced this season had inferior talent, save Georgia. (Significantly inferior talent)

Pre-season yes. Not really once the injuries started.

No, it does not matter at all.

Are you really this stupid? The offense is not outdated but the players running were not as good or ecperienced. It’s all about the Jimmy’s and the Joe’s

The bowl game will show us literally nothing.

I know the Tigers would love to win 10 games for the 11th straight year. And ISU would love to beat a nationally ranked team. Bowl game wins are helpful in recruiting and in providing some momentum for the following year. So I think it will be important for Streeter, Dabo, and the team to go out and do some creative stuff and try to win this game.

Bowl games give you 15 more practices. Invaluable.

I think Streeter could be a great coordinator/play caller for us. I would be unhappy if he stayed as the QB coach.
