So...is Brent Pry firmly on the hot seat now too?

Fifteen (15) penalties for 132 yards !?!?!?

VT didn't look good in any phase of the game last night, and they haven't beaten a nonconference Power 5 team at Lane Stadium since 2009 (a 16-15 win v. Nebraska).

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Wow. That stat is IMPOSSIBLE to believe.***

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

So you think a coach playing his 4th game of his first season is on the hot seat? Maybe you missed it but the last guy was fired for running the program into the ground. There is a severe lack of talent on the team which everyone recognizes Pry will have enough time to right the ship as VT is a patient bunch.

Although Marcus Freeman, at Notre Dame, is firmly on the hot seat after just three games even though two of the winningest coaches in Notre Dame history also had awful starts (Brian Kelly went 1-3 and Lou Holtz was 1-4).

VT is averaging 3.1 YPC on 36 attempts per game

That is dreadful. Starting QB is averaging 6.4 YPA and has 5 INTs already... also dreadful.

Their offense is just horrendous.

How bad is BC to lose to that team by 17??

That stat is a little misleading - they don't play a lot of P5 teams in Lane. They do play a lot of neutral site games, often in DC/Landover or that thing doing in Bristol. They also travel and have SEVERAL road P5 wins on the road in the first 3 games during that span.

The more worrying stat is that they are 1-2 vs ODU in the last three games. Granted, that was with Fuente too but "product" right now is beyond bad. They are starting to make Willie Taggart look good. Their season is dead. Now we get to see if Pry can actually "coach" because now it is all about getting his players to perform. This is where if you were watching in 2008, Dabo earned it - the best coaches are the ones that can still elevate a team when things are not going right.
