I am with you. It sounds like sarcasm and satire to me. I think there are far more things to get riled up over on social media and media in general. For example, the fact that a judge is scheduling a hearing to unseal the documents recovered in the Mar-a-Lago raid, but the visitor list for Epstein Island and its atrocities have yet to be unsealed. America is dying because of corrupted three letter acronyms and global elites but it's not because of somebody getting a chuckle on Facebook.

Sometimes you can use that stuff to your advantage. My kid wanted a bunny that we got nearly 2 years ago. They say you can't tell the gender at first so my kid gave it a girl name. We called that thing by its name or "hey girl" for nearly a year before discovering that it had developed man parts. It's hard to break old habits or to rename an animal so we just tell ourselves the bunny identifies as female.

There has never been, in my lifetime, a time when people have not speculated that Society has gone to hell. I would suspect that you can trace to origin of this sentiment to prehistoric times when the human race was composed of hunter-gatherers. There is a natural human fear of change or fear of the unknown which is found in all of us, and so, the society is going to hell simply means that society is changing and I'm not comfortable with these changes because they are unknown to me. We all have this, but wise men know that this is something you need to recognize in yourself and actively discourage.
