So who will be our 1st round pick(s) of 2016?

Mike Williams seems to be the obvious choice, but I'm not convinced he'd be a guaranteed 1st rounder. He certainly is good enough, but you never know where these guys will end up going.
I could see Isaiah Battle potentially going 1st round if he has a good year. Maybe Mac Alexander if he decided to leave early (although I have a feeling he will stay another year)
Thoughts?

Lawson and Battle are good sleeper picks here too.
I think Alexander has the best chance though.

I agree with your thoughts. Alexander is a shoe in if he goes.

Battle could blow up, but one season for an OL doesn't usually equate into a first round pick. If nobody leaves early, we might not have a first round pick. Reader is the next best bet and he is good, but Jarrett was better.

Alexander will leave early and be a 1st round pick. You could see it the first time he stepped on the field for us.

I think Jayron Kearse, Travis Blanks, and Mac Alexander all have the potential to be first rounders. I do think it will be 2017 tho.

I definitely don't see blanks as a fist rounder

At least right now. He is injured and could miss the first couple of games this season, plus he had issues during his sophomore yr in coverage and run support. Maybe if plays the position he did during his FR year and dominates he could potentially be a first rounder in 2017, but to be honest, with him sitting out a yr and now being injured i think he is getting lost on the depth chart. I hope he has a speedy recovery and can come back sooner rather than later because i really like Travis

He is the only I think that would be taken that high. He is an absolute stud. Hope he stays but he will be guaranteed big bucks to leave.

Williams if he goes.
Mac should learn from Beasley and not allow the NFL to pay him less than he's worth.
Two more seasons of shutting down big-time receivers in the regular season and playoffs will guarantee he becomes a household name in NFL offices around the country, and subsequently a top 10 pick and between $2-$6 million more. Not bad pay for an extra year of enjoying college and solidifying Clemson as a national brand and bringing home Clemson's 2ND National Title.

I think M Alexander

is the best prospect we have for 2016. I believe he will leave after this year and he will have my full support because I think he is a flat out stud and will be a lockdown corner in the League.
Mike Williams, Shaq Lawson, and Isaiah Battle will have to have HUGE years to go in the first round, imo. I think all 3 of those are 2nd/3rd round draft picks. Remember rounds 1,2 and 3 are considered premium picks. It is a fact that there are as many pro bowlers selected in the 2nd and 3rd rounds as there are in the 1st round.

be 1st round picks next year, so it would have to be an underclassman choosing to leave early.
Alexander probably has the most NFL potential of anyone on the team, but he would be leaving behind 2 years of eligibility so he's far from a lock to leave Clemson even with another great season.
Mike Williams would probably be my 2nd choice with 6-4 size and good speed. He needs to have a big year though - he won't get drafted in the 1st round on size and potential alone.
Shaq Lawson has NFL size and talent, but i think he needs to show that he can consistently get to the QB as a starter playing more snaps. He's been very good for us backing up Beasley, but NFL teams aren't going to spend a first round pick on a DE that doesn't pile up sacks.

break out year for two reasons. #1 it'll probably get him drafted and #2 it will keep Williams' numbers down hopefully ensuring he'll stay for 2016 where we'll have Williams on one side, Deon Cain on the other. Tay Scott in the slot backed up by RRMIII and Feaster in the backfield.
Who you gonna cover?
That's deadly. Going to be deadly this year too. Only missing Feaster, but get to have Peake for one last hoorah. Again, who you gonna cover?
And yeah coots, I'm talking to you. You think 35-17 on one leg was bad?????? Wait until you see the sh!t we got coming your way this year..
