Not a great route runner but has athleticism. I always saw him as more of a TE than a WR anyway.

We all can say what ever, but our offensive problems won't get any better until DJ can settle down once the ball has been snapped, and our offensive coaches can scheme some quick/short north, and south passes!!! I say north and south passes bc 99.99% of the time, those side line, to side line passes behind the LOS has been a complete FAIL!!!!
Plus the coaches have to some how get DJ to stop focusing on who he is throwing the ball to. Defenses don't have to guess who he is going to throw the ball to, bc he telegraphs that part of his game better than any QB we've ever had, bc he never takes his eyes off his intended receiver!!!!!!

Well, it was also said that DJ had a better arm than TL, so at this point, take it all with a grain of salt.

I think what was said was that he had a stronger arm and could throw it further. We have seen his lack of touch and accuracy.

Coming into the NC St loss the longest completion was 17 yards...to Kobe Pace.

Even if a bad route runner, he could:
catch a fade or
Run a stop route over the middle and square up with his big body
Block on the screen
All would require game planning to the player talent
But I’ll just shut up and reup with Iptay again since that’s what fans are supposed to do apparently

he's played 58 snaps so far which is a lot more than last

year- he plays meaningful snaps also not mop-up like last year. Currently 5th at the WR position for snaps. Still really a FR when you consider COVID(free year), he's definitely improved but with this O like everyone else, there is little to no production to date.

Honestly we could have Moss and Rice at WR this year and we would still be 2-2. Wouldn't get too down on the WR group based on what we've seen thus far.

I think with any other QB on our roster we would be 4-0. DJ
is his worse enemy. It's all in his head!

He’s perfect for go routes but we aren’t throwing the ball long. DJ’s best pass is the long ball, that’s why teams are playing cloud coverage.

As it turns out all the offensive talk was just hype. A big reason that fans are su upset is being told to take a pic one the revivers cause they all will be NFL stars and DJ was a DW-TL hybrid. It all set unrealistic expectations.
