5 - 7 Texas that finished 7th in the Big XII and is sitting at home for the holidays. In the process, he's walking away from a $1.4 million+ NIL deal.

I wonder if he gets the keep that $60,000 Ford Raptor the local Ohio car dealership gave him.

Ewers will have four years of eligibility remaining and will be able to compete right away for the starting job with the Longhorns.

My guess is no on the raptor. I would also expect that any vehicles players are getting are leases instead of actual ownership. It’s just way cheaper for the dealership or anyone else to do it this way. I also doubt he received $1.4M. I may be wrong but I expect it might have had the potential to be $1.4M if he had become the starting QB and led them to the playoffs but I think he only threw two passes. Businesses and boosters are smarter than 18 yr old boys in most cases and they are going to protect themselves from downside risk.

Walking away from 1.4mil and walking into likely 10+ mil at Texas over the next few years. So about $1mil per win…

He's not walking away from the NIL money.

One of the reasons for the transfer was to keep it as it had performance requirements.
