I'm not really sure why you have to be an #######.

If people would go about their normal routines...

and only buy gas if and when they need it, things would be fine. As it is, all of these friggin' doomsday preppers are panicking and filling-up anything and everything the can find for fear of a gas shortage so a lot of the stores in the area are out of gas.

Apparently we didn't learn a thing from the great toilet paper debacle of 2020.

Yesterday no. Made trip from Greenville to Manatee Co. FL but

things change quickly. Anecdotal information is of limited value. Keep posted on latest fuel status in each locality.

Perhaps contact triple AAA.
There are some apps that may be helpful in finding gas. Gas Buddy (?) comes to mind.

Yesterday I heard there were some outages in Asheville, NC area and near Columbia.

As long as he's not driving a Hummer

A full tank should get him well south of Atlanta, and into areas that aren't as badly affected from the pipeline shut down. Good luck, prayers sent.

The Colonial Pipeline does not serve Florida. The FL Gov said the only problems would be some of the Northern FL gas stations that get their shipments from GA, SC.

No... if he can fill up in clemson he should be ok

May 12, 2021, 12:24 PM

Run Gasbuddy on the way down.. he will eventually come by some 1 with gas.

If he comes back next week..he shouldn't have any issues.

He needs to get to the East coast ASAP on his trip. The Ga and Fla coast don’t depend on the pipeline as much as the rest of the of the southeast

We have a horse show this weekend so we filled the horse trailer with 54 gallon drums of gas. We might have to move out a couple so we can take the horses lol.

Just kidding the show is local, if it was a road trip we would just skip this one...lol

I have saw people filling everything they have lol. Will they ever use all this gas?

Great question. I drove through GA and had no problem. I've heard of no problmes in FL. Left central FL this morning heading north. All stations open. No lines. I think FL gets most of it's gas from Jax port and Tampa port.

I live in the northern Tampa Bay area and many stations have run out of gas. I think it is mostly panic buying and should resolve itself in short order. I saw a Racetrac gas tanker running down the road near my house so there is gas going somewhere.
