So let me get this straight? With all the talk the past

Aug 3, 2013, 12:35 AM

couple years with head injuries in football contributing to lower qualities of life and suicides which has led to a myriad of brain studies that has brought about new rules protecting players and lots of research on how to make player equipment more safer.

Are you telling me that now after we've actually found a helmet that is significantly safer, b/c it's hideous (and it is as ugly as they come) that they won't actually use them in games, just practices?

Am I missing something here? I realize everyday how much older I'm getting as my priorities have skyrocketed over fashion.

Not only that, but they don't like wearing them in practice.

I hope they continue to wear them in practice and wear them during high school football games.

It shouldn't be about vanity!

It should be about being able to form a complete sentance....after the playing days are over.

Anyone out there joking about, or knocking the "goofy" helmets is just an outright IDIOT!!

It's PRACTICE FOLKS....they don't need to "look hip".

Go Tigers!!

it's an answer to the concussion suits, no doubt.

but, if the helmet (add-ons, as it can be removed) goes into the mainstream (nfl) shouldn't salaries also be reduced, since the risk of injury is also reduced ? i always thought that risk was calculated into the $ amount of the contracts.
