Proof that no one is perfect! LOL
Or proves my theory that the hotter they are, the more nuts they are! But there are always exceptions to every rule!

I'm sure NBC knows what they are doing. Remember how well the Megyn Kelly transition from Fox to there went. And how they had to be shamed into dumping Lauer. Yep they are top notch

There was a time when Gameday started my college football Saturday. Now… meh… I don’t bother and turn the TV on at 12:00.

I agree.
Texas actually has something like Gameday on their network. Clemson has something like that that streams on YouTube but it’s only two people. I would love to see us copy Texas, especially if it were on the ACC network.

I remember an interview where she was really downplaying the performance of TL16 as backup! suggesting KB got a raw deal.

I have no problem with Maria Taylor

She is (was) one of ESPN's best. However, this is an indication of ESPN's current talent pool.
Taylor will most likely go to NBC and disappear there.
Malika Andrews is 10x better than her and Rachel Nichols anyway.

U are correct she was one of espn's best that is why they got rid of her.
Don't care zero about espn but when Clemson plays so there you go

ESPN didn't get rid of her she left on her own. Plus getting more money. Very talented women of color. Her future is bright

First, ESPN smartly did not cave-in to her extortion. That video didn’t leak by accident after a few years of being kept quiet. She may have some talent, but she’s not worth anywhere near the money she was demanding, which is why ESPN let her go. Besides, they can’t pay her that much money when they’re laying off people left and right. ESPN is losing money and I’m sure Disney is not pleased.
Second, why point out that she is a woman and especially a woman of color? If you think she is so talented why the need to point out the other things? What does being black and female have to do with her talent?
Isn’t that what Martin Luther king and others are hoping to move away from? Which is why they would be spinning in their graves if they saw the exact opposite happening today as many are pushing for blacks to segregate themselves and to make everything about sex and color and other qualities that have absolutely nothing to do with your talent or lack there of?

" What does being black and female have to do with her talent? "
In a civilized world, black and female would mean nothing if she did her job well. I think most here would agree she did her job pretty well, even if there was some question about bias against Clemson.
In today's woke world, one's skin color is the sine qua non--the single most defining characteristic--on one's status. Her gender, or more importantly, her gender identity, is a close second, follow by her sexual orientation.
Anyone who tries to follow MLKs dream "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." is today's woke world is to be branded a racist.
"If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules…that would have gotten you labeled a radical 50 years ago, a liberal 25 years ago, and a racist today." [Thomas Sowell]
P.S., I feel like with Maria Taylor that had Kelly Bryant been white and TL16 had been black, she would have been screaming on every early season interview about "Why is KB still starting for Clemson? Why is a black player being forced to sit on the bench behind a white player with clearly inferior talent?" because she is woke, and as a woke person, someone's skin color defines them.
In a civilized world, the best players play, the best TV announcers announce, and so on. And no one cares about their skin color.

Agree 100 percent.
I wish I could give you more points. Because I always point any reference to Thomas Sowell. So your post deserves several points!
Thomas Sowell gave the ultimate mic drop quote when he was interviewed by Dave Rubin.
Dave pointed out that Sowell was a self professed Marxist and radical until his conversion to conservatism. Dave asked him what changed his mind. The response was classic and a true mic drop. Sowell gave a one word reply ……. “Facts”

Right now women and people of color, but especially women of color, are winning the oppression Olympics especially when it comes to jobs in the public eye.

She was good, but not great. And she or people around her probably had a hand in that recording of Rachel Nichols getting leaked to the press to make her look like a victim and to help her with her contract negotiations. I don’t believe in huge coincidences and it would be way too big of a coincidence that something that happened several years ago and was kept quiet within ESPN suddenly leaks when Maria Taylor is negotiating a new contract.
The same way the interview between Trump and Billy Bush stayed quiet for years and years then suddenly happens to come out while Trump is running for president. These things don’t happen by accident.
