Former Atlanta Brave Jeff Francoeur on his love of Clemson, QB battle

Jeff Francoeur is a big fan of Clemson sports. He isn’t ashamed to admit it and doesn’t care who knows it, especially in his home state of Georgia.

Francoeur was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the June 2002 amateur draft. Francoeur was a 4-star safety prospect that had committed (in July of 2002) to play football at Clemson. After the draft, he elected to forego college to play baseball.

So does he have any FB eligibility left? If he was a 4* 16

Jun 25, 2018, 2:40 PM

yrs ago; he should be a mid 2* now...not quite what we are looking for but he could get to a 3* with a good fall campaign.

"CLEMSON DAY" at Suntrust Park in Atlanta was a sell out

Jun 25, 2018, 5:06 PM

yesterday...I watch almost every Braves game and this article is for real because he is always referring to Clemson with an "us" or "we" as he talks about them during the games he is in the booth.

disappointed when you chose to forgo college to go pro.You
made the right choice but I believe you would have made a
great college FB player.Thank you Jeff for your kind words
about the the team I will always love,
