How about we need to coach better. BB cannot make gametime changes on the fly. He has no clue how to manage a game. If his plan doesn't work, he has no plan B. Please someone give us a real Basketball Coach that knows the game.

He has one of the best teams as he has had since becoming the HC at Clemson, and with talent!!! Brownell just isn't a very good in game coach. I wonder if he could win the ACC with several McDonold all American players on the team. IMO, he would find a way to lose!!!

Curious at to what would your recruiting pitch be to gain their commitment to Clemson basketball?
We put guys in the league? Nope
We will championships? Nope
Its the primary sport on campus? Nope...not even 2nd or 3rd
We have facility dedicated to just the basketball team Nope...no slide or nap room or PAW bistro
You will play in a packed gym with a great atmosphere? Note...maybe one game per year if its convenient for the fans
We can promise you NIL support or shoe contracts or other compensation? Nope
We promise a good education with average facilities and middle of the road results which is not really appealing to a top recruit.
One hint: changing head coaches will not fix any of the above issues. If we find a coach who can overcome these things he will quickly get scooped up by a better program.

Clemson couldn't be in a Power Conference without basketball. Those other sports, go look at some schools that don't have them and are in Power Leagues?

Man your arguments make no sense. You are saying things are fine keep what we got?? Or am I missing something. The program starts with Brownell. He hires assistants, he recruits. Let’s not make this more complex than it truly is. Do I know what the university pays for basketball I have no clue, could more be done probably, but yes a different coach may or may not make us better. One thing is for sure keeping Brownell will not. If they give the program 2 more mill a year and Brownell starts to win 20 and gets to the tourney at least 1/2 of the time I will be more than happy to say hey I was wrong.

So basically throwing some of his current players under the bus imo. He is correct though hate it’s been 10+ before we at least acknowledge the issue.
