I’ve tried to refrain from succumbing to the frustration others have expressed on this board. After all, as others always pointed out, Dabo is one of the winningest coaches in all of football. But this has finally gotten to the inexplicable and inexcusable “###” level.

Someone was TDing her because that's one of her favorite hobbies with 12.5 TDs (and counting as I type). She had TDed someone one too many times, so yeah, some TDed the fool out of her.
She created at least 3 usernames with the sole purpose of voting for herself in an effort to boost her pulse (as if she's fooling anyone), and she got cold busted! She was banned because of it and begged the mods to let her back.
Since being allowed to return, she's gone from 24 TUs a day to 32 TUs a day. I mean, are you kidding me? Who the he|| here gets 32 TUs a day, every single day for months on end?
Her pulse is slowly creeping up, but the insecure charade continues. How pathetically low is someone's self-esteem when they vote for themselves 30x a day, in an effort to appear wanted, on an anonymous sports message board?
I've been telling her she needs therapy, for months. All she is keep TDing (everyone) and TUing (herself) like some sort of maniac.
The chick has some issues, no doubt.
Oh and she owes me $1000. I accepted her bet, she lost, and now she's refusing to pay up. She talked a huge game, so why is she refusing to pay the bet she requested?

If a coot, or a troll, comes in here trying to stir the pot, they have a couple of options . . . they can say stuff that's BS, OR, they can say stuff that's true, but negative (coaching criticism, etc). Unavoidably, trolls who say negative things are going to hit on many of the same critiques genuine Clemson fans have. And so what? To label everyone a coot the minute the say that is a clear and chronic problem on here (and a weak, mindless one at that (dishonest, too)). It's the TNet version of calling someone a racist. Better to simply treat them like genuine Clemson fans and either agree or disagree with them on the substance, which is going to happen between the genuine Clemson fans, **anyway.** If we do that, it takes the wind out of the sails of the trolls while not adding a dynamic (internal disagreement) that isn't already there, anyway. To reflexively respond to critics as trolls actually **INCREASES,** the tension and gives the trolls what they want. If you tell another Clemson fan you think they're mistaken and why, then no biggie. If you call them out as trolls, then a huge nasty kerfuffle ensues, and the troll gets the last laugh.
Taking it in stride and responding strictly on the substance, and not insisting that we all must read the tea leaves and discern who is or isn't a troll and ferret them all out with accuracy before we can endure critics with civility or maturity, is a much more sure path to letting trolls die on the vine that scorched-earth fake enforcement is.
As for the trolls offering pure BS, most of us can sniff those out fine. They deserve no tolerance.

have the green light yet to extend his game beyond handoffs or runs. I'm sure his passing game needs a lot of work, but he's a typical true freshmen QB that has been on a tight leash and is likely presenting in practice just as he is, a true freshmen QB.
I'd be willing to bet he has a big off-season in the right direction. He's got heart and his love is still in the game, which is something DJ may be lacking.
Kid is #### fast too. His speed is DW-esk at worst. BS needs to tailor the offense accordingly.

But you did start your post with a slow clap for Dabo which in my opinion is rude and disrespectful to a man that outside of cootville has earned respect. Whether you like how he handles qb’s or not. I would say his record on that stands for itself.

He has the prerogative to play who ever he wants, but his explanations and work-arounds for the legitimate criticism simply isn't supported by the facts.
What's unavoidable is this: Dabo, right or wrong, has a lot invested in this controversy (and yes, it is a controversy). He has been overly stubborn both in his decision making and his unsubstantiated defenses of that stubbornness in the face of criticism. In a nutshell, he's made the wrong decision, then doubled down on it, then tripled down when criticized. If and when Cade displaces DJ during the '22 season (short of necessity (injury)), then Dabo will unavoidably lose face. From all appearances, he either lacks a LOT of discernment about the dynamic here, OR his ego is getting in the way (that is, he's loathe to admit that he's been wrong and stubbornly so).
Until either DJ starts lighting the sky on fire, or until Dabo wakes up from this, then this is how it will be.
Disclaimer to all, here - Dabo is the best program leader the football program's ever had as HC, and deserves a lot of deference. None of that changes here. I say these things not in denial of all that, but w/ the assumption that even so, he's not beyond criticism, even tough criticism.

DJ has improved a great deal from last year. And, he improved significantly from the Notre Dame debacle to the Louisville game. Given the 9-1 mark, and the low quality of the last two opponents, the sky is not falling. So I'm not giving an overreaction here. These truths, combined with the criticism, are a both/and, not an either/or dynamic.

My concern (like others) is the portal. It’s so easy to do now and isn’t “shamed” the way it once was. As I mentioned, we can’t discount the parents either. I love Clemson through-and-through but I love my kids more. If there is only 4 years between my son and $millions, and the staff burns one of those for seemingly no results…

I really don’t understand how people can think that the coaches- whose very livelihood depends on them succeeding- would not do what is best for the overall success of the team. They see every practice, they know these young men and their psyche inside and out. I think that we have a comprehensive body of successful work from CDS that strongly suggests that he knows what he’s doing.
