Flyler guy on radio, with Judge. Probably changing bed sheets every morning. Never heard of a southern person that in love with the Y-e-e-n-kees.

If you are talking about the NY Yankees then either you have no real appreciation of MLB or you just don't pay attention. There are Yankees fans all over the South. In part because there are a lot of folks down here that remember a time when there were no pro teams in the south, and they developed their allegiances based on what was available back then and passed them on to their kids. Others are fans of the most iconic franchises in sports, with the Yankees probably being THE most iconic of the bunch.

I'm a NY Mets fan since their inception in 1962 but I have to agree with you. The Yankees name and logo have the "it" factor. I've seen folks all over the Middle East and Europe wearing Yankee hats...
