48 by a fella from Oklahoma state back in 85. They ended up playing 75 games that year.
59 over three seasons is the Clemson record. Beer could come very close.

Some of these records need to have an asterisk after them with an explanation. The number of games played now is unbelievable. In the late 50's, Clemson only played 25 games and this continued on awhile. freshman did not play then either. They had their own freshman team and played other schools freshmen.

played for the Phillies in the pros (and a couple others). On that scruffy team with Dykstra, John Kruk, Darren Daulton, Mitch Williams etc.
He hit 48 HRs in one season at Oklahoma State, 100 in his career.

If you are asking about the Clemson record, it is 27 by Khalil Greene in 2002. The record for career home runs is 59 by Jeff Baker.

I remember going to games when our 3-4-5 was Greene-Baker-Johnson. It was almost guaranteed one of them would rope a double or put one over the fence.
