Shreveport is waiting for the coots

They have a holiday pallet fire planned in honor of the coots. They are hoping it reminds them of home at the Roach Palace down by the delapidated mills...See coots, Shreveport is pulling out all the stops to make your kind feel welcome. Nothing says home like a huge pallet fire.

I also read it will be the week of the road kill cook-off, and they are converting the local tornado shelter into a hummus museum in their honor. Should be a really good time.

I once had a crawfish sandwich at Red Lobster in Shriveport, only place to eat except SKINS HOTDOGS.
That is what a 35 - 17 tail kicking by the Tigers brings coots for Christmas.

Ahh... Christmas in Steveport. Has a really nice ring to it, doesn't it? Oh wait....Skins hotdogs was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives....that qualifies as a gourmet restaurant in Steveport...
