can do out of the backfield (catching the ball) and also out of the slot.

That is exciting. It’d be cool to see him in the slot more.

I feel pretty good about Shipley being able to catch balls thrown somewhere in the vicinity of the strike zone vs thrown in the dirt or over the backstop like last year.

Yep, I've often thought about how much better he could be if somebody would actually throw the ball somewhere within his reach!!!

Getting the ball to an athlete in open space.

Mismatches - WR on a safety
Slot receiver on a LB
Fast TE on LB
Big TE on safety.

Etc.

Those are what OC's try to find. Having a guy who can run it between the tackles, run it outside, catch a flair out of the backfield and line up in the slot has to make Riley put on his "creative thinking cap."
