the farm that GAMECOCK FANS...to a man, were more excited when they hired Spurrier, than when they hired Son of Beamer. JMHO.

Watched his interview @ SEC media day and felt sorry for him

There was no one in the room with him. The Cornkoot folks and that was about it. It was echoing the room was so empty. Sounded like the interview was in their trophy case.

I've always been told that you judge your decisions based on the information you had at the time the decision was made. I actually think Beamer is a decent hire for South Carolina, especially given that he wanted to be there. He's been on some good staffs and has been around some solid coaches. This doesn't guarantee success of course, but I think it was a good hire. With that being said, I hope they lose every game they play, except when they beat Georgia.

Not every coach can be Saban or Dabo, but most programs in the country are chasing the bar those guys have set.

I have a lot of respect for his dad and Shame is a young man. Cootterville is the place is where coaches end their careers. Hate to see that happen to him, he seems like a decent guy.

Decent hire based on who would have taken the job and he’ll be a cheap buy out when they fire him for the next B minus coordinator in two years.
