Serious question

What's the point of having a bunch of 6'10 kids if they can't do anything stand in the way? I mean, seriously. This is getting freaking ridiculous. None of our bigs can shoot. Or dribble. Or pass. Or even rebound for that matter. Maybe on occasion they may make an easy lay-up, but other than that they play soft and timid.
Getting really tired of seeing KJ do EVERYTHING while Rod Hall, Roper, and Harrison play the same old 40 minute game of hot-potato around the perimeter. And by the way, bringing in a bunch of 2 and 3 stars is really how you build a great program isn't it....not

So...what's your plan of getting 5-star recruits to play at Clemson? When they have the option of choosing Duke, UNC, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh - and that's just within the ACC - they're not coming here unless we go the SEC route and pay them.

So...you're content with recruiting the same old below-average caliber, bottom of the toilet bowl, "leftover" high school kids that the major D1 programs didn't offer a scholarship, bring them in, and watch them barely tread water for 4 years? Awesome. What's my plan, you ask? Well, we can start by honestly making an effort in recruiting. Brownell is a horrible recruiter. The only thing he's known for is having a good defensive mind. That's not enough. He and his staff need to become intentional in their recruiting: find offensive talent and pursue that. It's really not that hard...

You lost all credibility when you said "it's not that hard."
How would you sell Clemson to a 5 star recruit who is being recruited hard by the likes of UNC or Duke? It's nothing like football, and you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Clemson basketball has no history. No Final Fours, no ACC championships, and have only finished ranked five times. It doesn't matter how good of a recruiter Brownell is, he's not going to get McD AA's to come here.
The way that Purnell made it work was to recruit 2-3 star guys and develop them over four years. Booker wasn't a five star guy, neither was Rivers or Stitt. Yet they were some of the best players Clemson has ever had.
Just stop talking about basketball since you obviously don't have a clue what it takes to win at any level.

Just like Brice Johnson's recruitment. We camped out on him since day 1 and he was coming to Clemson until UNCheat came calling.

See, badb gets what I'm saying. Ya'll gonna rain on his parade too? What I'm proposing isn't impossible. Just ask Wichita St. I'm NOT ASKING FOR 5 STARS you imbeciles. I'm saying recruit a few certain positions with INTENTIONALITY (duh) and the rest will take care of itself through intelligently monitoring the Juco transfer market, developing good players, and maybe getting a rare 4 star here or there. It can be done. It's NOT impossible. The VCU's, Wichita St.'s and the Creighton's of the nation must have figured something out by doing this..

No, you're both idiots. Look at Wichita State? It's easier to develop big men when they don't play against ACC level players. Nnoko looked pretty good before ACC play started. Or did you only watch tonight's game?

We should move to the Southern Conference in basketball. Then we'd dominate just like VCU and Wichita State.

News Flash.
THIS IS CLEMSON BASKETBALL.
When you have no tradition, facilities, or history. You bring in raw players and develop them over 3-4 years. What do you think was so great about Miami last year? They were TOP HEAVY, look how far they've regressed after one year.
We lose Booker and Jennings and win more games in the ACC than we did all last year. This team is growing in incredible ways.
One of the better shooters in Rooks gets injured in the off season, biggest blow for us IMO. We have signed 1 MCD AA in our history, act like we can recruit with the UNCs and Indiana's.
Booker, Sykes, and Mays were all rather meh until their upper class years.
Do yourself a favor and not talk basketball if you are ignorant of the game.
