Ring Ceremony - 36 yrs late !

Back in the desert after a trip to Tigertown/Greenville to participate in the ring ceremony with "desertigress21". While the event was a little weird with the masks and social distancing protocol, it was a great day nonetheless. I certainly got some strange looks, along with some fist bumps, being the old guy amongst the young students. Thanks again to the Alumni Association for making it possible. Sharing the experience with my little girl made it extra special. Will be returning in a couple weeks for graduation ! Ring pic attached. Events like this continue to differentiate CU from the rest of the world...

Got a son due for graduation next year and I don't think there was a ring ceremony in 90 when I graduated either. Nephew went to ceremony and was impressed. Didn't know old timers could attend.

Thanks for sharing!

I am looking forward to my daughter's ceremony in two years!! The ring ceremony in the 80's consisted of going back to the bookstore after spring semester junior year & going to the counter in the corner where they sold the engineering calculators. They would look up your name on one of those big green & white printouts and hand you the box with the ring. We researched last weekend - the "tradition" dates back all of 21 years now.
