When you run with the big dogs you better get off the porch and sadly we did not.

Seriously? I guess you can blame ND for kicking our butts, and potentially costing us a shot at the CFP, but isn't that the point of the game? Shouldn't we have just, ummm, played better?

Yes they beat Southern Cal we will be in because the committee might examine our game with them a little closer. Because our defense is pretty elite and did not give up but 14 points to the Irish if you don’t count the 10 yards they had to go after Cades INT

We definitely got clobbered by ND, but if the committee does

a really close look, they will see that turnovers directly produced at least 21 of NDs points.
It doesn’t lessen the impact if the score, but might help to explain why that one game got out of hand on that one night.
That’s one of the things I honestly do think the CFP does is to take much deeper dives into the games than the regular pollsters and pundits do.
It’s a shame that we no longer control our own destiny, but ND can definitely do us a solid when they face The Trojans.

west,
TOs are a part of the game
and I don't think it is the commikttee's job to look for excuses for us.

Well, I’m just saying they look deeper than he final score.

I don’t expect them to look for excuses, but I’ve seen other teams suffer losses and then see Issues like turnovers be used as a rationalization.
We got our tails worn out in that game for sure. No real way tho get around it.

I don't believe we are getting in regardless of what happens. When the first poll rolled out the ESECPN talking heads went crazy that we were number 4. The committee caved to the pressure and its easier for them to just leave us out than it is to explain to the talking heads why we should be in. Thats why we have 2 two loss teams in front of us

I hope they win out and Clemson gets a rematch in a big bowl game if Clemson does not make the final 4

It sucks for ND that they are about to put us right back in.

They will romp and stomp USCw and we will have a place in the top. UGA will help when they beat LSU in the SECCCG and we will ice the cake when we dominate UNC.
