Anyone know why the show is ending? They have the only sports show that I followed regularly.

The ACC Network will almost be unwatchable without Mark. I hope he gets another show.

They are one of the worst morning shows I've ever seen, I tried to watch them when they first came on to support the ACCN, they were terrible. So bland and boring and not entertaining...I wish them luck though, both seem like great guys, just not great for TV/radio.

Hopefully the ACCN finds someone who can bring an audience to the ACCN and more exposure--the better the network does, the more money the ACC makes and is worth.

Yeah, I like them both but I can see where.......

Jun 29, 2022, 10:50 AM

they're boring, especially to a younger audience. And this time of year (after basketball) there's not a whole lot to discuss.

I can see Durham moving on to continue to do play-by-play within ESPN/ACC networks but I wonder what Packer's going to be doing?

I agree and I'm not one of the younger crowd. Bland and boring. Wish them well.

I already posted a thread on this below. They did say that they will remain with ACCN but just in different roles.

Hopefully they will be able to return for football and basketball season. I like this show. If our friend Paul can have a show this one should survive!

I always enjoyed Mark Packer's show on SiriusXM ESPNU but since they canceled it, I don't even listen anymore. He is a good guy and insightful, but ESPN wants controversy and people screaming at each other apparently. That drives ratings up I suppose. Hate it.

Some truth to that. If you can’t make the viewers mad you ain’t doing a good job!

Usually watch a couple segments especially during football and basketball seasons. Three hours is too much to view each episode entirely. Would DVR occasionally. Thought the show would work better with a two hour schedule. Anyone think there wasn't enough coverage of rowing, gymnastics and fencing?

Them mad. Having said that, Packer has been known to put Finebaum down without mention of name. I like Packer and Durham and look forward to seeing them in new spots on ACCN.
Again, iwoild really like to see Kanel get a show also. That would be great.

I liked the show, but only watched during football season, as I have no interest in other sports. I haven't watched P&D in quite some time. I had grown weary of television sports commentary, in general, and stopped tuning in to any television show. Regardless, I am sorry to hear the show is ending, and I hope everything is well with the both of them.

Sometimes the road to the truth is so elusive it's confusing and reality becomes illusion.

Could the Kelly Gramlich and Eric McClain show...

Jun 29, 2022, 4:37 PM

That had been on podcast be replacing them. Is that why Kelly maybe left wccpfm?

Haven't watched the show since Football season ended

Jun 29, 2022, 4:40 PM

Mark Packer looks like he has lost quite a bit of weight - hope it is good weight loss and is not from some kind of illness...

Today:

Last time I watched Packer and Durham:

He talked about the diet he’s been using on the show to lose weight.

You obviously haven't watched the show much! Pack has talked

several times about his New Year's resolution to start a new lifestyle...he quit drinking alcohol, stopped eating sweets and started walking 3 or 4 miles a day...and dropped 60 pounds in six months!
Good for him!

I will certainly miss the show...but it's obvious that ESPiN prefers the idiot shows like Finebum and Stephen A Smith...those two jerks are unwatchable, as far as I'm concerned!

Love the show and watch/listen when I can, especially football and hoops season. a ton of ACC historic
knowledge between them. As a lax fan, didn't mind that coverage either, which was pretty thorough. Hopefully ESPN throws some new faces in there at least to talk football during camp and season.
