that we've lost an OL to transfer. Boateng last year, and Tchio just now. I don't know how much they would have played but seeing how our OL has really struggled, I would think that losing guys like this hurts.

I would say that losing Boateng did not hurt.
He was taken as a project and didn't make the jump they were hoping for.
Tchio's departure remains to be seen.

maybe he felt he should get to play on the other side of the OL where to be kind the blocking has been much more inconsistent. Not saying he did but I could see that rationale as a possibility

Yeah Boateng wasn't although I distinctly remember Dabo raving about him. As for Tchio, hopefully was just a miss. We haven't signed many guards, let alone oline in general that was rated 3rd best in the country.

Dabo raves about a lot of people that are never heard from again.
It's almost better for players that Dabo not rave about them, especially if it's during the spring when the comments are made.

Boateng should've never been signed by a program like CLEM...no offense to the kid. That was a symptom of not offering enough OL and then scrambling at the end to fill a slot and signing a project.
Love me some Dabo...but he just said we are fine at 15 OL. I highly disagree...part. when a number of those are projects for a program of CLEM stature (again, no offense to the kid(s). No reason why our OL room shouldn't be elite across the board. Bama, uga, OSU all carry more OL in their rooms. We lack quality depth and have for a good while.

Not sure they carry more. I think I remember looking one time and found it about equal. The biggest thing I found was their 2nd and 3rd string were 4* and minimum high 3* kids... Whereas ours are low 3*, 2* or walk ons.

Here is Bama...AT 20. I['ve seen the stats elsewhere too. Playing with one hand tied behind our backs. No reason why you wouldn't want to emulate them...they have done it the best for a long, long time.

Makes the need for Earnest Greene that much more. But I believe the slow play might make that difficult.

Seems he is also the only IOL we offered as well. I know DJ and Beux were really close with him. Though when you wait till September to offer...
