Screw Jimbo Fisher. I've had it.

Nov 1, 2016, 12:43 AM

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/10/31/florida-state-coach-jimbo-fisher-wants-stiffer-penalties-for-late-hits-on-quarterbacks/

And screw this writer for comments like this...

"Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher told reporters on Monday that he wants stiffer penalties for late hits on quarterbacks, just a few days after his own signal-caller Deondre Francois was beaten up in a tough loss to Clemson over the weekend."

And this...

"Could we see NFL-style rules filter down to the college game so quarterbacks don’t take shots like Francois did against Clemson? "

Shots like what? Like he's a player in a college football game? Did I miss the flags for the hits we put on their QB? Zero. Not a single penalty. Because they weren't late hits, as this jerk's article and Jimbo's comments make it sound.

My goodness this guy can whine when he loses. I resent the heck out of this guy insinuating that we played anything but quality defense. Why comment on stiffening penalties on a foul that wasn't called on Clemson the entire game? If he wants to protect his Quarterback, maybe improve his OLine coaching.

So the coach who has problem with the officiating

Wants to give the officials more control over the game.

Did you notice the author of that article is Bryan Fischer? I think he added the "c" to hide the fact that he's related to Jimbo?, lol.. Believe me, I live here in Louisiana and Jimbo was Lsu's OC for a couple years and it was disgraceful how he would NEVER take responsibility for shoddy play calling but throw his players right under the bus! I'm NOT an Lsu fan, I bleed orange. Jimbo rode Lord Saban's stockpile of talent and nabbed a national championship. They won in spite of Fisher's play calling. My opinion only, he's an egotist with impulse control issues - not a guy to cut off in traffic, lol. He rants and raves and though the film shows differently, he feels his teams are always on the short end. IMO, he's very overrated. He had it made with Saban and then was handed the reigns to the Criminoles. He's classless. Also, ever listen to him talk? Not a good interview... He's been SO blessed in his career yet he complains like the deck has always been stacked against him. Personally, I hope he gets offered the Lsu job and takes it. I don't pay much attention to the goings on in Baton Rouge but because he'd be there I'd scarcely hear from him. I'm CLEMSON 24/7 and 365!!! When CLEMSON beat Lsu in 2012 that was one of my favorite football moments. The national media has built up the Lsu fan base as the gold standard; but I've been to several games(to see other teams and coaches) and I'll NEVER go back!! Not a place for a born again Christian. I witnessed a Georgia(female) fan get knocked over in a port-o-potty and I helped get her out; she told me that three lsu fans taunted her for wearing so much red and she had the gall to tell them that screaming"tiger bait" at her was upsetting her four year old! That same game I was thrown up on. And that same season I was there the night an over served purple clad fan used tiger stadium as his own personal outdoor bathroom. Needless to say the ONLY way I would go back is if Clemson came to bayou country. Sorry, kind of got off message. The thing I hated most was the way Jimbo defended Jameist Winston. Hell, why stop there, the way he defends all his thugs is despicable, Just my take....

Take accountability for what you can control as a coach. When your O line is getting manhandled, make adjustments. Leave your back and tight end in to block. Call quick throws and screens that get the ball out the quarterbacks hands before the defense can get to him. If your O line is your weak point, either develop the players you have or make it a priority on the recruiting trail. Just stop being a punk ### biotech, blaming everyone but yourself.

Good point

It ain't rocket science. That's what NCSU did with Findley... the ball was out of his hands in less than 2 seconds, and he was hurting us. Everytime he had to drop back and wait for a pattern to develop, he got pounded. Dumbo just wants the rules changed to benefit him.

He's not near big enough to jump out in traffic with road rage...he'd look like his qb did most of the night.

I sure hope Jimbo goes to LSU. The SESEE deserves another coach like him.

He should tell his offensive line to block... oh my bad, he tried that and it didn't work.

Says the guy who had a player disqualified for targeting

in the game. Oh, and what about the no-call for trying to break DW4's neck with a vicious facemask? Don't blame your lack of ability in coaching on the officials.

A picture is worth a thousand words. It's no accident that this hack DIDN'T include a video with this fairytale. Didn't happen, that's why there's no video.

On the play in question by Dumbo,

Nov 1, 2016, 9:38 AM

Joseph led with his face mask up not the crown of his helmet. That is how they teach players to tackle now so that they don't injure themselves or get a targeting penalty. In the video below (28:48 mark), even Herbie says it's a clean hit. I feel bad for Francois. I don't think anyone can say the kid is not tough as nails, but Dumbo is going to get him seriously injured. Of course it will be the officials fault and not his own for continually putting is QB in dangerous situations.
