Basketball season tickets

Jun 2, 2016, 7:11 AM

Are they worth it? I've never had them and now that I know I will be in the area for a while I thought about getting them for this year in the new LJC.

Say what?

You need food, you need water.
I highly recommend shelter and transportation.

Everything else is Preference. What you choose to spend on entertainment is entirely subjective and personal.

I don't understand why people pay to see beyonce concerts , but they do. Not worth a nickle to me.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

I may have been vague, I was more asking if people thought their would be less seats available this year and beyond due to a new arena.

Oh.. in that case, no. There will be plenty of seats available

It is Clemson basketball.

Demand will be very low which should provide the opportunity to lock up some really good seats.

Was something I said incorrect? You expect huge season ticket sales?

Well since I didn't say anything resembling that it doesn't really prove much of a point. The OP asked about buying tickets. Market conditions are a factor in any investment. Those conditions should be favorable to someone looking to improvement their seat location (albeit at a price). Only you - with your blind zealotry - would see pragmatically encouraging someone to buy season tickets as an out and out negative.

In Purnell's final season average attendance was 9465 fans per game. That number has eroded to 7635 fans per game for 14-15 - the last full home season. According to the Post & Courier this was the 5th worst attendance in 20 years. This makes Brownell's lack of success far more costly than just the face value of his contract. We know - unequivacably - that price increases have negative consequences on total sales. While the new building and return of JB will probably mitigate some losses, the dramatic increase in ticket price and lack of post season success will significantly dampen season ticket sales. A 20% decline in attendance - to date - under CBB is a fact. A highly successful 16-17 might be able to reverse course on declining total attendance - but season ticket sales will be very slow.
