I read that earlier and had the same thought. Sounds like he got screwed by his agent(s). It really would explain his emotional state during the series much better. Feel bad for him but if that’s really what happened he really should have known and agreed to what was going on if he cared that much about the result.

The Braves made him a great offer and then added an additional 5 million to the pot (140 mil for 5 years). All he had to do was to tell his agent to make it happen. He went to the left coast instead.

Hind sight is 20/20 - he got what he wanted at the time. Sometimes sleeping in the bed YOU made is tough.

I am sure he doesnt mind being a Dodger. He is from right down the road from Dodger stadium. He probably grew up a Dodger fan and has famy there as well. It was probably more about the contract.

...while Freddie was in town. Read that he had a talk with Anthopoulos (their first since the signing). Sad situation if this is what really happened.
