Hopefully , someone...

will pick him up. I think he has enough talent , hope he lands with the right team at the right time, often times, that is what it takes ..

Agree. Wish he had stayed one more year .... but

Aug 11, 2019, 10:12 PM

that might not have helped him. It would definitely have helped Clemson.

He didn’t leave too early. His game doesn’t translate to today’s NFL. He is a good player that doesn’t run as well as what’s needed. One more year of college just helps Clemson but not that player

Agree Felix2. One more year imo he would probably have been higher pick, hence more money. Bad knees, doesn’t fit game whatever but potentially more money up front and another year with CBV to help translate his game to the nfl.

Bad advice to the kids.

Doubt it. One more year under BV wasn't going to make him faster. He's too slow to play LB in the modern NFL.

Probably not over for him with the Lions...

Aug 11, 2019, 9:32 PM

Sounds like a procedural move...

"Because Lamar is waived with an injury designation, if he clears waivers, he will then he will revert back to the Lions roster. They will then have to decide if they want to waive him again with an injury settlement or they can place him on injured reserve, paying him his entire salary — around a half-million dollars — and retaining his rights moving forward. This is the same approach they took last season with linebacker Garret Dooley, allowing him a year to rehab with the team, as well as, being able to learn the Lions’ complex defensive system." -LionsWire

Tre was A devastating hitter out of H.S.
but bad knees took their toll.

Is that what happened to his speed?***

Who knows if he was always slow, but bad knees would slow someone down.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He doesn't move well enough to play LB in the NFL

10-15 years ago sure, but not now.
