Roderick McDowell

Roderick McDowell is one of our more inspirational players of the last decade. Born with a club foot, he persevered and overcame that, and was our starting running back in 2013. He had 132 yards in the season opener against Georgia.

I was stunned when I learned he had that disability after seeing what he could do on the gridiron. II think he averaged around 5.5 ypc that year.

He may not be considered one of our top running backs, but I am a fan.

He was one reason that Tajh completed the 4th and 16 pass to Nuk. Rod made a good leg-whip/cut block on the middle rusher (#57 - Lamin Barrow) that allowed Tajh time to make the throw:

Seems like he chose us over Auburn and agree with your thoughts. Great video of one of my favorite wins/games. Sammy went down in the first series and it didn't look good, but our guys kept fighting and never gave up. The LSU players were dropping like flies and what a great final drive to win it. Thanks for the video.

Loved Hot Rod! Those building years we so much fun to watch. 2012-2015 were the seasons that made our Championship 2016-2018 run possible. The best era of Clemson football IMO.
