Don't worry about Neff. He will do his job but he has Clemson as his main focus. Many factors are involved and we don't even know half of them. He has been on the job for a very short time. No need to execute him yet.

I respectfully disagree. I don't buy the whole "many factors" routine. Since when is putting a competitive product on the the field not the primary factor in running an FBS sports program? If you are not winning nothing else matters. Being in the job a short time is also just an excuse. He has been Assistant AD for years, and if he is not ready to make decisions he should not have been hired. Period. He might surprise us and do the right thing, but I suspect we will get another letter punting the decision for another year. Will there be "many factors" in play next year, and will he only have been in the job a short time next year? Where do you draw the line? He is paid too much money to not make decisions.

Previous longest droughts were 1965-1976 when the program started and then 1980-1990.

Anything short of dismissal is an abject failure of leadership. Everything in life, business, and sports management has to have standards. Clemson baseball standards have not been met. If Lee is not dismissed, Neff is a spineless coward. I was a Monty guy but he’s not getting the job done. The team is a laughing stock
