If I heard correctly Saturday Mark Richt basically stated

that Clemson was no better than 3rd best team in the ACC. He said as of now he thought FSU was the best team in the ACC and that he was picking UNC to beat Clemson in the title game. I have a lot of respect for Coach Richt both as a coach and as a person. However it was still a little surprising.

then failed bad at Da U. I don't value anything he says. He made his career with Bobby Bowden's recruits at FSU as an OC. Only Jimbo did did better riding the coattails of Bobby. LOL

Clemson is the only team in America that is considered trash unless they go undefeated....if I didn't witness it with my own eyes I would have never known Tennessee got destroyed by Georgia ?
And by the way, Bama 2 losses never happened...

Plus Bama should had loss to Texas and Tennessee to Pitt but lucked up by knocking the starting qbs out and hobbling the backups for much of the game as well

You said in your previous thread that you still can't get over South Bend, and nothing Clemson does going forward will change that.
You also said that your confidence level of Clemson competing against Miami is at a five, so I understand why you don't understand.
Coach Richt was quoted of saying Clemson is not better than a 3 loss team that was beaten by Clemson in their home stadium.
Clemson also beat the two teams that beat the 3 loss team coach Richt was speaking of.

Opinion: If Clemson finishes 12-1 they should be in the top 4 and make the playoffs.
Opinion: If Clemson finishes 12-1 they still should not even be considered by the committee to make the playoffs.
Opinion: FSU is playing the best ball in the ACC now and if they played Clemson or UNC they would win.
Opinion: UNC will beat Clemson in the championship game.
Fact: Clemson beat FSU on the football field.
The first 3 opinions stated above can never be verified as true or false; they are just opinions.
The 4th opinion will be verified as true or false in a few weeks.

isn't last weekend the first time we've put together a 4 quarter game and beat the spread?
I love to hear others compliment us, but, so far, we've done little to inspire confidence.
I hope we wi. out but don't hold it against Richt for saying things we don't like

Yeah FSU was hot when we played… they were humbled by the meat of their schedule and now are on the back endo of it.. I think they are a very good team but hard to say they are playing better. I believe if Clemson puts four quarters together like we have seen glimpses of on offense and defense on several drives each game aside from ND then nobody in the ACC can compare and they could play with anybody. But like mentioned by someone earlier on this post they have spells where they completely throw out what’s working especially on offense.. almost every drive before half we March down the field in what appears to be a easy 2 min drill but go 3 and out multiple drives following that it is just baffling

FSU is playing better but I don't buy they are better than we are. As far as Carolina goes, we will find out in 3 weeks but I do agree we will have to play better than we have all year to win the Championship.

I think anyone knows all the misery and doubt cast upon Clemson can and will go away as soon as we get a good to great starter at QB and some talent around him that makes the offense good again. This offense we have fielded since last season is why people have lost respect for the program.
FSU has Travis and all the portal guys on the line and that big WR. UNC has the freshman phenom in Maye at QB and a ton of good skill surrounding him.
Coach Swinney can add some speed to the WR core and whatever he thinks he needs and they can be deadly again next year. He just has to do it. Who wouldn’t want to play at Clemson?

He may well be right. We are a great team who has not played a single great game all season. We have let a bunch of average teams hang around and got manhandled but a good but not great ND team. Unlike others years we have not peaked down the stretch.
So it’s a bad look for out fans to trash the media for saying the obvious just because it hurts your feelings

UNCs defense is still a major liability. They will be a tough out because Drake Maye is already one of the best players in the country, but we should be favored in that game.
