I don't think this season went the way it did because of a lack of motivation or "fire under" them (and don't get me wrong, a 10-win season is a solid season).
This season was all about execution. For the most part, our defense executed. Our offense clearly did not; there were failures everywhere. The offensive line, the receivers, the running backs, and the quarterback all had failures. However, we must see exactly what happened and consider the environment. Our final game of the season, we had 2 freshman and a walk on starting at receiver, we had musical lineman all season that never gave the QB a break, and a first year starting quarterback that has played a single true college game in his career. Not a recipe for succuss. Apply those variables to our last National Championship team -- we wouldn't dare have even been close to the playoffs. Heck, Trevor alone was about to lose the game to Texas A&M.
So sit back, take a breath, and watch it all unfold.

A lot of times pure talent doesn’t have to be coached that much (DW, ETN, Trevor, Mitch Hyatt, Jackson, Tee Higgins, etc . Offensive linemen rating are pretty much accurate due to the scoring system they use for offensive linemen recruiting.

Just for clarity, DJ had 2 games in 2020 and got a lot of reps. You make it sound like he was straight out of HS. In addition, DJ was under the same high profile player in high school as Trevor was... And had received in depth coaching and tutors in HS than other QB prospects.
So, only Dabo and staff know the real story.

Our players and coaches this year have worked very hard. Our disappointing season (by our standards) had nothing to do with poor effort.
