Remember the Tigers

Once again, a highlight show (Olympics) uses a song from Remember the Titans. It works in that movie and in the highlights. It all takes me back to Remember the Tigers.

Over the years I have watched that TD pass to Renfrow at least 50 times. Every time I watch it I am more and more convinced that the Bama DB actually grabbed the Clemson WR and pulled him to the ground. I don't know if he was just willing to take a holding penalty which would have forced Clemson to kick a FG on the next play, probably. Or if he was just trying to draw an offensive PI.

But, whatever the reason was, there was a penalty on the play. It was defensive holding.

While biased, defensive holding was obvious. This it not to say that Artavis (#3) would not have rubbed if needed, but it was not needed.
If holding called, the play would stand (TD), I think.

Bretfsu, the team on offense has a choice of accepting a defensive penalty or taking the results of the play. Your calling it a defensive holding penalty, which it was, will not endear you to the PF club.
