So Coach Leggett thinks we have a team other teams won't want to see in their regional? Really? Why because our lack of offense? Or maybe it's the shaky pitching? Or spotty defense?

Maybe it's because he has seen his team at practice all year and knows they have alot of talent, and have not peaked yet. All it takes is a three week hot streak, and everyone on this board knows this team can get hot for three weeks. Weather it happens or not, we will see.

Absolutely correct, I don't think usuc was the best team

the past two years but they got hot. That's the downside to massive end of year tournaments. As great as Cinderella is, it's really not fair to teams that have had solid seasons. We'd be robbing one for sure.

I can agree with you about the team two years ago, but name one school in the country that you would say was better than the team we had last year

So I am assuming you can't name a team better than us last year. The four best teams in the country were us, Florida, Vandy and Virginia. We took 4 of 5 from Florida, 2 of 3 from Vandy in the regular season and lost another one to them at the SEC Tournament, and took 2 of 2 from Virgina. So I would say we were clearly the best team in the country last year not just because of our national title but because of our dominance over every single team we faced. Our season was capped by the most impressive post season run in CWS history, winning 10 in a row. While also setting two new NCAA records for most consecutive post season wins (16) and consecutive CWS wins (11). So please explain to me my level of ignorance.

Can you believe the arrogance of jackleg? He is still peacocking around being a legend in his own mind. Poor defense, I don't think so. #2 in acc. Hitting is atrocious, no discipline. Pitching-we start 0-2 and then pep decides to throw 3 in the dirt/1' off the plate to see who chases. No one does. Then our pitchers issue a walk or serve up a fat pitch, due to the added pressure caused by da pep. Read in Anderson Independent Davis' comments about our pitching. Other players are laughing AT you pep.

Talk about arrogance YOU take the cake. What the "H" is YOUR experience AND track record in Baseball OR any major college sport? I love watching "know-it-alls" like you pea size brain arm chair coaches make fools out of yourselves. Get a life.

The explanation is: Well, we got a very good swing of the bat in 9th vs best FSU reliever. Think JL had McG taking on that one?
We took so many down the middle and good pitches in ACC tourney it was disgusting. Base running was not exceptional either. What did our #3, 4 and 5 hitters do in Greensboro or Winston-Salem?
And we left enough base runners stranded to fill the ferry boat in last 3 games.

I felt the same way in 2010 but guess where I was on June 22, 2010. It is baseball, anything can happen and despite what is posted here this team has a lot of heart. Until we are eliminated Omaha is a possibility! GO TIGERS!!!

we have a pitching rotation where every pitcher is subject

to throw a gem of a game at any given point. They dont always do it, but theyre capable. Anytime you can do that, youve got a chance to win a 4 team double elimination tournament. But no doubt we've got to start swinging better than we have the last 6 games. In 5 of our last 6 games we've scored 2 runs or less. Even great pitching wont help you there, not in college.

Since the new Super Regional format has started we have won 9 of our 12 regionals and played in the Regional final 2 of the other times. Teams should be scared of facing that.
