Regardless of missed FTs. Regardless of missed easy

layups. The refs DID give Miami the win more than Miami earned the win.
Basketball isn't about making plays to overcome the refs. It is about making plays to beat the other team.
Giving Miami that key foul...and the refs not calling the fouls that we tried to make initially at the end...DOES affect the outcome of the game unfairly.
Yes, Milton shot poorly. Yes, Hall and others missed easy layups. Yes, we shot free throws poorly. That's part of the game. Let the PLAYERS determine who wins...not the REFS!!!

the foul on Milt towards the end. Then called the touch foul on Miami to bail us out of the shot clock violation.

No one knows for sure, obviously. But that block foul

DID affect the game. 14 seconds left, and we are shooting. We make the shots...or we get the rebound...or we get a steal after that...again, we will never know. But we do know that they made a bad call, which caused us to have to plan and play for situations that should not have been (i.e., THEY have possession at 14 seconds as opposed to US).

Bad calls have do and will happen in every sporting ever created. To win you have to put yourself in a situation were they can't cost you the game. Make your free throws, make your easy layups, hold onto the ball and you don't have to worry about it.

Manipulation by the refs has not always been a part of the

game, nor is it as bad as the ACC elsewhere in the country. The ACC is awful. Ref bias.
Honest bad calls are one thing. Ticky Tack calls...calls before they are even committed (i.e., phantom calls)...and calling a foul AT KEY TIMES that we all know was a bad call...are manipulation by the refs.
This is not the first time we have been affected by the refs' awful calls, and funny how the top ACC teams get the break all the time.

Because in other conferences refs don't mistake a block for a charge? Give me a break.

When you score 43 points in 40 minutes of basketball you don't deserve to win. When you go through a stretch of 1 for 17 you don't deserve to win. When you cannot hit your FREE throws you don't deserve to win. When your confused as to how much time is left on the clock with 8 seconds to go in the game you don't deserve to win.
Bad call. Yes. Another bad offensive gameplan that cost us big time. Yes.

When you play LIGHTS OUT defense and keep the OTHER team

to that same point total, you deserve to win as much as they do.
When the other team doesn't hit their free throws well, either, you deserve to win as much as they do.
Disagree on the game plan.

because they played poorly? Your logic makes no sense. Irregardless of our missed opportunities, if the refs didn't cheat us, we in the game misses opportunities and all

Thank you. You are 100% correct. Up 4. miss the front end. make those 2 and it over. frustrating. the charge call was wrong. but it shouldnt have come to that.

late, because ACC is not going to let their #1 team suffer an adverse call. It's too expensive for them. All we had to do was hit free throws. Miami was shooting as bad as we were. There won't be many times that Larkin will have that bad of a game.
