My guess is that his not knowing who would be his oc at Clemson played a large part in his decision.

He won't know who his coach at UF will be after next year either, but he does now know who his coach at Clemson would have been next year, and I would bet Chad would have given him a whole lot more opportunities to show his talents at Clemson than Muschamp will allow at UF.

This one seems to be on Chad.
Better lock up North. I honestly think Robinson is the better prospect (although it is clearly debatable). Either way, huge loss. But this puts pressure on the staff to sign North.
Nuk and Martavis possibly bolting, Robinson decommitting, and now questions about Mike William's head/motor. Yikes

The Pitch was.... "What has the ACC done lately, and look at these stats, they are not going to do any better." "Now the SEC and our team get plenty of exposure and we have ESPN in our hip pocket at all times during football season." "Plus no one can resist watching our games because we are on TV all the time." .......Yep I believe it was in that ball park. Very sad that recruiting was looking so good for Clemson and now we have been picked apart every other week lately. Might want to look at some outstanding JUCO's now to solidify a little depth for us.

recruiting news has been nothing short of a disaster for months. decommits all over the place, pulled scholarship offer, RNs mom, former coaches trying to steal commits, no one committing, etc.
coaches leaving or interviewing for every job in the south.
losing to USuC
what else am i missing?

This is the first time I'm saying this, but Clemson needs to leave the ACC. The conference is killing us in recruiting. These coaches now are all in these kids ears about playing in the SEC and playing against the best players in the country. I'm not agreeing, but this is whats happening. We are always in a kid's top 2 or 3 but lets face it we almost always lose out to an SEC school. Georgia twice last year with the RB's, now Florida. We can't keep losing these kids. Crowder, Lawson are absolute must gets!! And MUST BEAT LSU!!
