Lately the Tigers are getting guys who love Clemson, but are they the best recruits. We are recruiting a lot of white guys who have a lot of heart, but the talent does not match. Linebackers are really starting to stick out as a position that we lack the talent and is often the weakest link on defense when we face other elite teams. The speed and athleticism of Georgia, Alabama, Ohio St. etc is much better at the position, not to mention the NFL seems to agree.
NC State this year, Ohio St last year, and LSU the year before beat Clemson because of Talent and heart, not with coaches son's or nice character guys that get to coach in the program one day. How the heck you recruit in the Top 10 every year, but end up with 3 star guys playing 7 years.
The offensive skill guys and the D-line has carried the team for years, the O-line and LB's who look a lot like BYU don't measure up

with the country on race, with hispanics being overrepresented by about 13 percentage points while whites were underrepresented by 3% and blacks underrepresented by 6%.
Soccer is also extremely diverse (actual diversity, not "code for not-white" diversity), which makes sense as it's a global game.
Even the NFL is over 30% white.
Seems like you're probably just racist.

He's talking about Skalski and Spector, smart, big hearts and absolutely a liability on pass coverage, jet sweeps and the like.

You are the biggest moron I have met on this board ever! You are crying about linebackers? We have had studs at linebacker for a long time now. Anothny, Simmons, Simpson. Ben and James are great college backer. You need to be prescribed Medicine. We loss those games to more talented team. Look at what you he receivers lsu are doing in the nfl. Same thing with OSU. We have won our fair share of games. We have beat those same OSU and Bama in teams.

Linebackers stick out as a problem to you? Young guys like Trenton Simpson, Barrett Carter, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr are exceptional for their age and can only get better. Do you mind explaining how the LB corps is our problem? Not trying to hate, but genuinely curious about how you came to this conclusion…

It's the O-line and the LB's. O-line is another discussion. If our D-line doesn't play great or injuries come into play our LB's have been exposed in the run and passing game. If we don't have safeties that are good tacklers we have more L's on the board.
I know it's obvious the offense this year hasn't performed the best, but I believe they will be better.
Clemson has D-linemen and Secondary all over the NFL, but their may be one or two who get playing time

SteelD, you must be watching a Clemson defense from an alternative universe if you see a poor, slow LB corp at Clemson.
All slow white guys??? Skalski isn't slow, but maybe not NFL caliber fast. But Skalski is a top notch college LB. Spector is faster than Skalski, may actually get a NFL paycheck for a while (probably as a UDF, but may get a pro paycheck). Trenton Simpson, LaVonta Bentley, and Barrett Carter all must be slow white guys in your alternative universe.
Glad for you that you did not single out the DBs as well ... at least you have maintained a shred of credibility by refraining from making perplexing observations there.
Clemson's O-Line is a work-in-progress, with the fruits of RS years from D.Pennington & T.Leigh showing as they provide meaningful depth for the 2022 O'Line ... which will be experienced with 2 (maybe 3) NFL talents on the starting unit. (J.McFadden, M.Tate [eventually], and maybe W.Parks have excellent chances of making NFL paychecks.)
The 'why are we playing 3* guys' topic has been beat to death in other threads. Clemson has a litany of super players over the past 10 years who didn't make 4* in HS. Furthermore, Clemson's 'hit rate' on 3* HS players during the past decade has been very high. If you are willing to do your own research (which isn't hard to do ... it's not nuclear physics) then you'll see for yourself.

Im getting get on Tigernet and complain about our LBs..who have been absolute studs..and try and prove your point by saying Dabo is recruiting coaches kids and stealing guys from BYU? Also, do you know that sometimes 3 star guys come out of HS underrated and then show ip in college.

So I am from Pittsburgh. If you are a Steelers fan like your symbol implies, who is number 90? And why is he one of the top paid LBs in the NFL, even though he is a white guy that plays with heart? And he just happened to be a 3 star out of high school. Hmmmmm. Maybe it's about development for some players mixed in the the 4 and 5 stars.
